A MESSAGE FROM THE POMHA PRESIDENT

 

Dear Fellow Members,

    The year of 2008 has past and everyone is looking forward to an exciting, event filled 2009 season.  The PennOhio Show of 2008 was a great success and well attended, but we are doing all we can to make the 2009 show a bigger success. I encourage all members to attend the show this year and bring along some friends—if not showing this season come and watch the other competitors and socialize with other Morgan horse lovers.

     The first board meeting, tack swap, awards banquet was held on February 7th. New officers have been elected, the tack swap was a great success and the banquet was well attended.  The next board meeting is March 21st at Tiffany Foust’s home and ALL PennOhio Club members are encouraged to attend. We need everyone’s ideas and input to make the club a continued thriving organization…”United we stand, Divided we fall.”

     We are in the process of getting final dates for many exciting events this season.
We are making plans for our annual Meet The Morgan at the Crawford County Fair. This year we plan on having a large barn area, with banners up, pamphlets available, Morgan horses in stalls and generally letting all who pass through get to know what a Morgan horse really is…..”The horse that chooses you.”  We are planning a Fall Fling picnic/board meeting at Carol Stein’s home with lots of fun things to do for all…date to be announced later.  Any ideas or suggestions for what you would like to do…let me know. 

    The PennOhio Club was represented at the Morgan Grand Nationals last year by Linda Stewart, Patti Postiglione and I.  Everyone placed well and had a great time and we look forward to many more club members going this year.  Oklahoma is a beautiful state and the show grounds are fantastic.

     The main goal for 2009 is to increase our membership in the club and to get ALL of our members involved in the club activities.  This is our club and it is what we make it.
